Looking to start a post punk / alternative / shoegaze / indie project (Amsterdam)

Hey! I'm a 26-year-old bassist who recently moved to Amsterdam from Italy for work, and I'm looking to start a project here. I've been playing for 10 years and have spent most of my life in a band writing, recording albums and playing live (including some cool support slots for big names in the alt scene).

I have been writing my own music ever since I moved here. I don't mind singing, since I've done back vocals in previous projects, though I am not convinced about my voice :)

I'm looking for a group of English speakers in their 20s who want to write music. I'm really into the idea of a band (and friends!) with a clear sound and image that actually wants to play shows and grow. I'm down to rehearsal once or twice a week, but I also like staying busy by bouncing ideas and demos back and forth over text.

Some of my influences:
A mix of older favorites like Interpol, The Strokes, Smashing Pumpkins, QOTSA, Fontaines DC, Sonic Youth, Bloc Party, Kings of Leon plus the newer scene like Wunderhorse, Been Stellar, Iceage, Gurriers, Radio Free Alice, and Tooth.

I've got my own gear and plenty of experience in the studio and on stage.
